Stanley Mission RCMP have arrested and charged one of their own.
Constable Elizabeth Cook, who is stationed in Saskatoon, was arrested at a residence in Stanley Mission. She was subsequently charged with one count of assault on Tuesday.
On April 1 at 8:20 a.m., the Stanley Mission Health Clinic contacted RCMP about injuries to an 18-year-old woman. Police determined the women’s injuries occurred during a fight outside a Stanley Mission house.
Cst. Cook was off-duty at the time of the fight.
She was suspended with pay and RCMP is currently investigating her actions.
Cook will appear in Stanley Mission Provincial Court on May 10, 2016.
