It was a rude awakening for residents living in a Pleasant Hill apartment building Saturday morning.
The Saskatoon Fire Department arrived just before 1:00 a.m. to the sound of alarm bells ringing and the smell of natural gas in the 100 block of Avenue U South.
Crews discovered that a vehicle had crashed into the natural gas meter, causing a leak.
The building was evacuated and then properly ventilated before people were allowed back inside.
