The union for Saskatoon Co-Op workers is warning a strike could start this week.
Over 900 employees represented by United Food and Commercial Workers (UFCW) Local 1400 could walk off the job after midnight on Nov. 1.
The union reportedly served strike notice Monday.
The affected workers include employees at Co-Op grocery stores, gas stations, Agro centres, home centres and liquor stores.
The union identified a proposal by Saskatoon Co-Op to institute lower wages for new hires as the main issue behind the potential job action.
