It’s not a great day to be traveling on some highways in Saskatchewan.
A low pressure system from Alberta brought a mix of rain, freezing rain and snow to the north central part of the province overnight.
Highway conditions are especially bad around the Battlefords where travel is not recommended on some highways.
LATEST HIGHWAY CONDITIONS
News Talk Radio spoke to Scott who was driving near Paynton on Highway 16. He said conditions were “pretty slick” and witnessed several vehicles in the ditch.
“It’s a slow drive right now. Very windy. Snow drifts going all over the place,” he said.
According to a texter to the newsroom, Kerrobert and Kindersley also received rain last night and “roads are bad in some spots.”
