Human remains discovered in rural area near Biggar

RCMP say partial remains discovered on July 24 are human.

After receiving reports of remains officers, with the help of the local fire department, recovered them.

In a media release, RCMP said a forensic anthropologist has now determined the remains are human.

Investigators from the Biggar RCMP detachment, RCMP Historical Crimes Unit North and the Coroner’s Office are working together to determine the identity of the remain.
