Heavy black smoke billowed into the air Sunday afternoon as several homes in the Montgomery neighbourhood burned.
Saskatoon police closed Crescent Boulevard between Caen Street and 11th Street as firefighters utilized four hydrants along the route to fight the blaze.

Few details were released as crews worked at the scene.
Police told 650 CKOM three homes were potentially affected.
