Saskatoon police were asking drivers and pedestrians to avoid the 300 block of Avenue R South Thursday morning.
Police said they were working at the scene of a disturbance, with witnesses having reported seeing a man with a firearm at a home in the area, located about a block south of St. Paul’s Hospital.
No shots had been fired and no injuries were reported as of 7:30 a.m. Thursday.
Police said people could expect some traffic restrictions in the area and said they would provide more information as it became available.
