Saskatoon police put traffic restrictions in the city’s downtown on Thursday afternoon.
The move came after the discovery discovery of a suspicious package around 1:15 p.m. prompted a call to the police Explosives Disposal Unit.
Traffic restrictions were in place on 4th Avenue between 24th and 25th Street, and on 24th Street between 4th and 5th Ave, with members of the public asked to avoid the area.
As of 4 p.m. Thursday, police had determined the suspicious package presented no risk to public safety.
