A baby boy couldn’t wait for Parkland Ambulance paramedics to get his mother to the hospital Monday morning and ended up being born on the way to the hospital.
The paramedics delivered the boy around 1:15 a.m. just north of Prince Albert. The boy is the mother’s second child, and both mother and son are said to be resting healthy and safe in hospital.
It’s the first baby to be born in an Parkland Ambulance this year; four or five babies were delivered in the service’s ambulances last year.
