RCMP are investigating a death in Black Lake Denesuline Nation as a murder.
Police were initially treating the death, which was reported Sunday afternoon, as suspicious. Few details have been made public at this time.
On Wednesday, officials publicly identified the victim as 24-year-old Brandy Robillard from the community.
Black Lake is located in northern Saskatchewan, southeast of Stony Rapids.
Anyone with information surrounding the death, or Robillard’s activities and interactions in the hours leading up to her death, is asked to contact the Black Lake and Stony Rapids RCMP detachment at 306-439-2185.
