A 28-year old man from Calgary was arrested and charged in connection with a wild high-speed chase at Moose Jaw in November.
Alex Wagar was arrested in Radville on Dec. 30 and taken back to Moose Jaw, charged with dangerous driving, flight from police, and possession of stolen property.
In early November, police needed help to stop a speeding stolen vehicle coming from Medicine Hat. The vehicle avoided police, drove the wrong way down the Trans-Canada, jumped a ditch and then drove down the wrong lane on Main Street North in Moose Jaw. Officers estimate at times the vehicle’s speed exceeded 160 km/h. Police called off the chase and the vehicle was eventually found ditched on the CPR tracks.
Moose Jaw Police say further charges are pending.
