Saskatoon police have arrested a woman wanted in connection to a string of purse-snatchings in the area around St. Paul’s Hospital.
An arrest warrant went out Friday for Brittany Ben, 27.
Police said a member of the public recognized Ben thanks to a photo posted online when the warrant was announced.
Officers were called just before 10:30 p.m. Sunday and arrested Ben without incident.
She’s facing robbery and fraud charges stemming from at least eight incidents where women had purses taken, many of them on 20th Street West near the hospital.
Police said Ben would make her first appearance Monday in Saskatoon Provincial Court.
