Volunteers have been peeling potatoes and preparing 60 turkeys for a special holiday gathering in Saskatoon.
For the 46th year, the Friendship Inn will host its annual lunch for those who don’t have a place to eat on Christmas Day.
Six hundred meals will be served by 35 volunteers according to executive director, Sandra Stack.
“It’s where people come that are part of our Friendship Inn family, and we share a meal together and exchange friendly smiles and ‘hellos’ and there will be gifts as well for the children and for some of the adults,” Stack said.
She said many of the volunteers are families who help out every year as part of their Christmas tradition.
