Murray Wood: The public has a right to know details when someone is killed by police
Imagine living in a country where police shoot and kill someone, then don't tell the public who it was. Well, that's wha...
The Estevan Police Service is investigating human remains found in the valley on that city’s west side Monday.
Police were called to the area around 3 p.m. Officers confirmed that the discovery was human remains, secured the area, and began an investigation.
Estevan police now say bones and clothing were found on the scene. At this point investigators cannot confirm the identity or gender of the person or if foul play was involved. There will be an autopsy at some point.
The police service is asking people to stay away from the scene while the search and rescue team combs the area for additional evidence.
The remains have not yet been identified.
