Saskatoon police caught a suspect right in their own doorway Tuesday.
Officers were called out around 6 p.m. to the area around Idylwyld Drive North and 22nd Street West in response to a report of a man carrying a large knife.
Police caught up to the man on 25th Street East, where he allegedly refused to stop for officers.
The suspect then reportedly took off running towards the police headquarters building at 76 25th Street East.
Police said officers “engaged the man in a physical confrontation” in the entryway of the building, then arrested him.
A knife was reportedly found a short distance away.
The 31-year-old suspect has been charged with carrying a weapon dangerous to the public and breaching a court order.
