Saskatchewan’s provincial parks and recreation sites were busier in 2015 than they’ve ever been before.
A new attendance record of almost 3.9 million visits were made in the year, easily eclipsing the old 2013 record by 125,000 visits.
This comes even as wildfires burned out of control in northern Saskatchewan for a part of the camping season, creating smoky conditions throughout the province.
The SaskParty is attributing the record visitation numbers to nearly $92 million dollars worth of improvements over the last eight years.
