This year was probably the warmest visit Santa has had to Saskatoon in a long time.
The sun and crowds were out Sunday to give old Saint Nick a warm welcome in the annual Santa Claus Parade. Hundreds of families came with winter gear and blankets but quickly shed a layer or two to enjoy the show.
It’s a sharp contrast to last last year’s parade where the temperature dipped into the negative double digits.

The annual parade, sponsored by Midtown Plaza, marks the beginning of the holiday season in the city, with 39 more days until Christmas.
