An escaped inmate has been apprehended less than 24 hours after corrections workers discovered he was missing.
Jesse Grant McMullen was found just before noon on Nov. 2 by Saskatoon City Police.
McMullen was noticed missing from the minimum security unit at the Saskatchewan Penitentiary after the 9:30 p.m. count on Nov. 1.
Correctional Services Canada contacted the Prince Albert Police Service and Prince Albert RCMP and a warrant for McMullen’s arrest was issued.
The 20-year-old inmate is serving a three-year sentence for robbery, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, disguise with intent and failure to stop at the scene of an accident.
