A Saskatoon police officer was assaulted while trying to arrest a man on Saturday night.
According to police, officers were called to 2nd Avenue S., near 20th Street E., shortly after 7 p.m. There, they found three people who had been attacked, one, a 62-year-old man, was sent to hospital with minor injuries.
A short time later, police arrested a 33-year-old man in the area. Police say an officer was assaulted in the process but didn’t need medical attention.
The 33-year-old will be charged with three counts of assault, breach of a court order, and assaulting a police officer.
