A close call involving a firefighter is serving as a reminder for drivers to slow down when its foggy.
RCMP said the firefighter was clipped by a passing vehicle while responding to a crash on Highway 16 at the Clavet turnoff Thursday morning.
The firefighter wasn’t hurt, but the driver of the car involved in the head on collision with a semi was.
It was one of five crashes Mounties were called out to between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. Poor visibility was a factor in all of them.
RCMP said motorists were approaching collision scenes too quickly and had to abruptly stop to prevent hitting emergency responders.
