Saskatchewan sports can look forward to a new brand of sports in the new year as the Saskatchewan Rush look to defend as National Lacrosse League (NLL) champions.
The Rush start the season on the road where they face the Calgary Roughnecks on Jan. 2, 2016 and they will make their debut at SaskTel Centre on Jan. 15, 2016, facing western rivals the Vancouver Stealth.
The NLL released the schedule for their 30th season on Tuesday.
A number of Rush players are returning for the 2016 season including MVP candidate Mark Matthews and defensive player of the year nominees Kyle Rubisch as well as team captain Chris Corbeil.
Season tickets for Rush home games go on sale later in September.

    Jan. 29 – Colorado vs. Rush
    Feb. 5 – Calgary vs. Rush
