Two people died unloading grain on Monday night near Burstall.
The 62-year-old man and 14-year-old boy were emptying a dual hopper semi-trailer full of grain.
RCMP officers from Leader were called to the farm about 10 miles east of the community at about 6:30 p.m.
Burstall’s deputy mayor Tegan Bodnarchuk confirmed the two victims were grandfather and grandson. He told News Talk Radio the community is in shock. Bodnarchuk said everyone is supporting the family while also giving them their space and privacy during this difficult time.
RCMP are not releasing the names of the victims.
Burstall is approximately 230 kilometres northwest of Swift Current.
