Slow down on slick roads, police warn

Saskatoon police are asking drivers to take it slow this New Year’s Eve with road conditions slickening up due to the cold weather.

The safety message was prompted after a pair of single vehicle crashes along the Idylwyld Drive freeway Sunday.

Around noon a truck lost control near the 8th Street overpass and ended up on the guardrail.

A 32-old woman operating the vehicle was not injured.

Just before 7:30 a.m. a second crash occurred at the same location. The driver in that crash also escaped injury.
