A busy few days has led to over a dozen charges for an alleged car thief.
Saskatoon police reported Tuesday that they tried to stop 21-year-old Jordan Johnston while he was behind the wheel of stolen vehicles on three different occasions between Jul. 23 and Jul. 26.
Each time, Johnston is accused of speeding off, leaving officers unable to chase him over fears for public safety.
Police also accused Johnston of being behind a Jul. 24 vehicle fire in the Eastview neighbourhood. That vehicle was later found to have been reported stolen in Regina. Johnston is also charged with stealing gas from a station on 8th Street.
Johnston was due to appear in Saskatoon Provincial Court on Tuesday.
Along with several traffic charges, he’s facing two counts of theft of a motor vehicle, three counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and one count of arson.
