Saskatoon police say charges are pending for five people after a woman was found assaulted and confined in a basement Friday morning.
Police went to a home on the 300 block of 26th Street West after getting a report of a woman being unlawfully held in the residence.
Officers entered the home and found a 24-year-old woman who had been assaulted.
She was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Police said five people have been arrested and charges are pending.
The investigation is continuing and police said further information will be released as it’s available.
