Two men from Quebec were arrested by Saskatoon police Thursday after allegedly riding in on the rails with a large stash of valuable goods.
Police said they received a report from a Saskatoon-bound passenger train of suspicious credit card activity by two men.
Officers boarded the train at the station on Chappell Drive, and found the men had been using a credit card in someone else’s name.
Along with the card, police discovered $10,000 worth of jewelry, $1,000 in postage stamps and at least 40 gift cards in the men’s possession.
Two laptops and a “skimming device” were also seized.
The men each face charges of fraud over $5,000 and appeared in court Friday afternoon.
