When it comes to the top sports brands in Canada, the Saskatchewan Roughriders remain one of the most popular according to a survey of sports fans across the country.
The Riders rank third behind the Montreal Canadiens and Toronto Maple Leafs.
The survey conducted by Insightrix polled 2,700 sports fans on five categories: first team that comes to mind, respect for the team, loyal fans, team popularity and stadium/arena atmosphere.
“The Riders are a branding phenomenon worth noting. They are ranked number three across all of Canada despite Saskatchewan only accounting for three per cent of the nation’s overall population,” the release stated.
Rouding out the top 10 are:

6. Winnipeg Jets
7. Vancouver Canucks
8. Calgary Flames
9. Ottawa Senators
10. Montreal Alouettes
