While the Toronto Argos are 5 and 2 at home this season, they have only defeated one western team at BMO Field in 2017: the Eskimos.
Saskatchewan comes in to this game with three noticeable advantages.
- Last week’s win over Ottawa showed resilience. The Green and White overcame a 17-point deficit thanks in part to a Christion Jones punt return. Such plays fire up both offensive and defensive players. While coaches say each week is a new week, that confidence may spill over in to Saturday’s game.
- Saskatchewan has beaten the Argos already once this season. It was a convincing win as Kevin Glenn threw four touchdown passes and the Riders had two 100-yard receivers in that July 29 victory.
- Time on the road can bring teams together. Bonding can galvanize a group of players. This extended Ontario road trip may just do that for the Green and White.
There is a chance of showers tomorrow which may result in a lower-scoring game.
Saskatchewan 27 Toronto 21.
