Saskatoon police have laid charges against a 14-year-old boy after he allegedly brought a gun to school.
Police said officers were called around 10:20 a.m. Friday about a youth in possession of a firearm at E.D. Feehan School on Avenue M North.
Responding officers found the boy, who was later confirmed to be a student, and took him into custody without incident.
A locker was searched and a firearm was recovered.
No one was injured.
The boy is charged with carrying a concealed weapon and possessing a weapon dangerous to the public.
The school initiated lockdown procedures as a precaution. It ended around 11:25 a.m.
