Saskatchewan is a CFL hot bed. Everything is up for debate.
However, I don’t understand why some are saying Darian Durant’s legacy is being tarnished this season.
Durant is going through some challenging times in Montreal, in what appears to be a low point in his playing career. Many of his fans cringed, and some detractors may have even have taken delight, in watching him go 0 for 6 last Sunday before being pulled against the Redblacks.
Now that the Roughriders have won four of five, a case can be made that Chris Jones made the right decision not to keep Durant at the money he was asking for in 2017.
Darian Durant is still the quarterback who started in three Grey Cup games for Saskatchewan, and was at the controls when Saskatchewan won the 2013 Grey Cup game.
It was arguably the biggest victory in franchise history.
No one can take that away from Durant. No one can dispute the fact he is among the greatest quarterbacks to ever wear the green and white. Twelve games with a struggling Montreal team doesn’t change that.
