Environment Canada has put out an air quality statement for Regina, Saskatoon and much of central and southern Saskatchewan due to forest fire smoke.
The smoke is expected to start moving north as the wind shifts and strengthens on Friday.
Environment Canada said people may experience increased coughing, throat irritation, headaches or shortness of breath. Children, seniors and those with cardiovascular or lung disease, such as asthma, are especially at risk.
