Court heard Blueeyes is charged with first-degree murder in the killing of 20-year-old Deandre Lagimodiere. He’s charged with being unlawfully at large as of the day before the shooting, Oct. 2.
Postings from police asking for the public’s help in finding Blueeyes only said he was wanted for being unlawfully at large, with no information about why he had been in custody or subject to conditions in the first place.
Blueeyes was arrested on Wednesday at a home on the 700 block of McTavish Street.
A small group of people was seated at the front of the gallery during the hearing. They appeared emotional and held up a framed picture when Blueeyes walked past them to leave.
The judge granted an order for Blueeyes not to contact three people who were described as “co-accused,” though no other charges had been announced at that time.
According to police, officers were called to the 1300 block of Robinson Street that afternoon. When they arrived, they found Lagimodiere with serious gunshot wounds.
Despite first aid administered by officers, Lagimodiere was pronounced dead at the scene.
The police force said the case marks the city’s sixth homicide investigation of 2026.
