A full bus might be a pain for transit riders, but it was a welcome sight for the Regina & District Food Bank on Thursday.
The Jack 94.5 Stuff the Bus campaign collected 9,977 pounds of food and $108,636 in cash for the food bank, which will provide an estimated 335,885 meals for families in need.

“Stuff the Bus helps us kick off the holiday season. Behind every item of food is care, which is the most powerful form of nourishment,” said Mary Weimer, CEO of the Regina & District Food Bank.
“We thank our friends at Rawlco and Sherwood Co-op, who share our commitment to fight hunger and feed hope, and thank Mosaic for matching all cash donations this month.”
This was the seventh instalment of the campaign, designed to help the 16,000 clients the food bank serves each month, 38 per cent of whom are children.
Since it began, Stuff the Bus has provided more than 910,000 meals to people in need in Regina.
“Every year we see how important it is for families to put food on their tables. The impact of Stuff the Bus goes beyond the numbers. It represents the spirit of Regina, of neighbours feeding neighbours. Regina came through in a big way,” said Jack 94.5 morning show hosts Sheri and Woody.
Jack 94.5 is a sister station of 980 CJME.
