An interprovincial investigation involving several Saskatchewan police agencies has led to the arrest of two people in connection with an Ontario murder case.
According to the Regina Police Service, the Ontario Provincial Police contacted the local agency and the Saskatchewan RCMP in late September, reporting that two suspects who were wanted in connection with an Ontario death investigation were heading toward Saskatchewan.

Working with the Winnipeg Police Service, the RCMP located the pair as they entered the province from Manitoba. Regina police said the RCMP notified them that the suspects were at a home in the 3100 block of Copeland Road in Regina on Sept. 30, where they were arrested.
The 37-year-old and 33-year-old from Arnprior, Ont. have been transported back to their home province and charged with second-degree murder and committing an indignity to a dead body, police said.
“This investigation highlights the role of collaboration between police services across Canada in supporting major criminal investigations,” the Regina Police Service said in a statement.
