Golfers in Saskatoon are getting ready for their least-favourite time of year, but they still have a few weeks left to get a last round or two in at city-run courses.
The City of Saskatoon said its three courses – Holiday Park, Silverwood and Wildwood – are preparing to close for the winter season. While the final day of operations will largely depend on the weather, the city said its courses and driving ranges are set to wrap up their seasons over the coming month.

At the Holiday Park course, the executive nine will close on Oct. 12, the championship nine will close Oct. 18, and the driving range will close for the season on Oct. 25.
It’s a similar story at Silverwood Golf Course, where the front and back nines will close on Oct. 18 and the driving range closes on Oct. 25.
The front and back nine at Wildwood are both set to close on Oct. 18.
“The City would like to thank all patrons for their support this year,” the City of Saskatoon said in a statement.
“Holiday Park Golf Course pro shop will remain open throughout the winter season for Club 6 pack, gift card and season pass purchases during regular business hours, Monday to Friday.”
