A boy was arrested earlier this week after allegedly making threats involving a school on a Saskatchewan First Nation and throwing rocks at police vehicles.
According to a statement issued Thursday by the Saskatchewan RCMP, officers received a report about “threatening comments involving a school on Muscowpetung First Nation” shortly before 4 p.m. on Tuesday. Police did not disclose the nature of the alleged threats.

The RCMP said Mounties were dispatched to the school on the First Nation northeast of Regina, but the boy continued to make threats after the Mounties arrived.
“After police arrival, the youth made threats towards the school, other individuals, and responding officers,” the Saskatchewan RCMP said in a statement.
“The youth then threw rocks at the police vehicles and resisted arrest before being taken into police custody.”
Police said the boy, who cannot be identified due to provisions of Canada’s Youth Criminal Justice Act, is now facing five charges of uttering threats, two charges of mischief under $5,000 and a single charge of resisting arrest.
He appeared in court on Wednesday, the Mounties said.
“As always, if an imminent risk to public safety is identified, we will notify the public,” the RCMP added.
