A 27-year-old Saskatoon man is facing seven charges after allegedly injuring himself while taking apart a gun on Friday morning.
According to police, officers were called to a home on Avenue S South at around 5:30 a.m. after getting a report of an injured man.

“Upon arrival, officers located a man suffering from a gunshot wound,” the Saskatoon Police Service said in a statement.
“Further investigation found that the man had been attempting to break down the firearm when it discharged and injured him.”
Police said the man was taken to a local hospital by paramedics for treatment, and is now facing seven “weapons-related offences.”
