A 50-year-old man is facing a charge of failing to stop after an accident, after he allegedly took off after running into a Regina police vehicle on Monday.
According to police, the crash happened near Fourth Avenue and Rae Street around 2 p.m.

“The police vehicle was travelling westbound on 4th Avenue when it was struck by another vehicle. The driver of the other vehicle did not remain at the scene and left the area following the collision,” the police force said in a statement.
Nobody was hurt in the crash, police noted, and officers found the other vehicle unoccupied in the 600 block of Cameron Street a short time later.
“Further investigation led officers to identify and locate the male operating the vehicle at the time of the collision,” police said.
“He was arrested without incident.”
The man is set to appear in Regina Provincial Court in October, according to police.
