Thursday waste collection postponed in some Saskatoon neighbourhoods

An issue at the City of Saskatoon’s truck storage facility means curbside garbage and organics pickups scheduled for Thursday have been postponed in some neighbourhoods.

The city said the changes were necessary due to “unexpected operational impacts” at the truck storage centre.

Garbage collection originally scheduled for Thursday in Caswell Hill, Confederation Park, Hudson Bay Park, Mount Royal, Pacific Heights and Westmount has been postponed to Saturday, the city said, along with organics collection in Lawson Heights, Lawson Heights Urban Centre and Silverwood Heights. Organics collection in River Heights has been postponed to Friday.

“If your collection has been rescheduled, please place your cart out on the indicated date before 7 a.m.,” the city said in a statement.

“If your neighbourhood is not listed, collections will occur as scheduled.”
