A search of a home in Kayville, Saskatchewan led to RCMP officers seizing 43 guns and 25 kilograms of “explosive material.”
According to the RCMP, the case started on July 26 when a person reported that a man pointed a gun at them while they were walking on a road in the area. Police said the investigation led to the arrest of a 37-year-old man in Avonlea and a search of the home in Kayville, southwest of Regina.

The RCMP said during that search, officers seized 43 guns, “multiple prohibited magazines” and 25 kilos of the unspecified explosives. 650 CKOM has reached out to the RCMP for more details on the “explosive material.”

The man was scheduled to appear in court in Moose Jaw on Thursday, police said.
