A 33-year-old woman from B.C. is facing charges after she was allegedly caught with more than 10 kilograms of cocaine during a traffic stop last week.
According to a statement issued on Thursday by the Saskatchewan RCMP, officers stopped a vehicle on Highway 1 near Indian Head early in the afternoon of July 29 to conduct a driver’s licence, registration and sobriety check.

“As a result of investigation, officers determined there were likely illicit drugs in the vehicle. The driver was arrested,” the RCMP said in a statement.
“During a search, officers located and seized 10.25 kilograms of cocaine and a sum of cash.”
Police said the 33-year-old woman, a resident of Windermere, B.C., is facing charges of possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
She appeared in court in Indian Head last Thursday, the RCMP noted.
