An 18-year-old woman is dead after an ATV rollover on Canoe Lake Cree First Nation – 130 kilometres north of Meadow Lake – on July 21.
According to Beauval RCMP, the woman, from Canoe Lake Cree First Nation, was a passenger on the ATV. She was declared dead at the scene by EMS.

The driver was taken to hospital with serious injuries. RCMP continue to investigate.
Man injured, robbed after being attacked by group
A man is in hospital with serious injuries, after being attacked by a group of people at The Point Beach in Île-à-la-Crosse, 220 kilometres north of Meadow Lake.
According to Île-à-la-Crosse RCMP, on July 20, the man was approached by a group of people who assaulted him and discharged a weapon at him, before stealing his vehicle.
RCMP were able to recover the stolen vehicle and they continue to investigate. Police asked anyone who may have surveillance footage of Burnouf Street from the evening of July 20 to contact them.
