A new reopening timeline has been given for general traffic access across University Bridge. At the same time, the City of Saskatoon is announcing additional closures along College Drive.
Beginning on Thursday, the north lanes of College Drive between Munroe Avenue and Cumberland Avenue North will close for construction, taking effect at 6 a.m.

The city said two-way traffic will still be allowed in the south lanes of College Drive between Hospital Drive and Cumberland Avenue North, with one lane open in either direction.
“Additional space will be reserved to ensure emergency medical services (EMS) have access as needed,” the city said in a statement.
“Access between College Drive and the University campus at Wiggins Road and Bottomley Road will also be closed.”
Through construction, emergency service vehicles will still be able to use University Bridge to access Hospital Drive and pedestrian access will remain available.
Access across the University Bridge for general traffic is expected to reopen in about one week, the city said in its statement on Wednesday, “weather permitting and barring any unforeseen circumstances.”
Traffic detours could impact Saskatoon Transit, the city said. More details about road restrictions and construction can be found on the city’s website.
