Saskatoon’s annual Downtown Sidewalk Sale is expected to bring shoppers to the streets on the lookout for deals, but drivers will also have to be on the lookout for detours.
Road closures and lane restrictions will be in place on a number of streets between Thursday and Saturday. The City of Saskatoon said detour signs will be in place to help guide drivers around the event area.

Three downtown roads will be closed daily during the street sale, between 5:30 a.m. and 8 p.m.: Second Avenue South from 22nd Street East to 23rd Street East, Second Avenue South from 20th Street East to 22nd Street East and 21st Street East from First Avenue South to Second Avenue South.
“The City thanks everyone for their patience,” the city added.
Saskatoon Transit will temporarily adjust its routes along the Traffic Bridge while the sale is happening.
