A 17-year-old boy is facing charges of robbery after a pair of women were allegedly assaulted by a person wielding a metal pipe during a robbery in Saskatoon on Saturday night.
According to police, officers were called to the 400 block of Second Avenue South at around 11:30 p.m. after getting a report saying a person had been attacked with a metal pipe.

“Police arrived on scene and located an 18-year-old woman with what were believed to be non-life-threatening injuries. She was transported to hospital for further medical treatment,” the Saskatoon Police Service said in a statement.
“Through investigation, officers learned two women had been assaulted by a group of people during a robbery.”
Police said the suspects had taken off by the time officers arrived, but a 17-year-old boy who matched the description was quickly found and arrested.
He’s facing two charges of robbery, along with an additional charge of breaching court-imposed conditions.
Teens charged after robbery at business on Confederation Drive
Police said two teen boys – ages 16 and 14 – were arrested early on Sunday morning after a robbery at a business on Confederation Drive.
Police said officers were called to the business shortly before 1 a.m. after getting a report that two male suspects had broken in and stolen merchandise before taking off.
“Arriving officers observed two broken glass doors at the entrance of the business. Officers were able to view video surveillance and obtain descriptions of the suspects,” Saskatoon police said in a statement.
“Shortly after, two males who matched the suspect descriptions were located at separate locations a short distance away. Both were arrested without further incident.”
Both teens have been charged with breaking and entering, theft, possession of a weapon, mischief under $5,000, wearing a disguise with intent and carrying a concealed weapon. The younger teen was also charged with breaching court-ordered conditions.
