A man found sleeping in an apartment stairwell was arrested on a number of weapons charges on Saturday.
Regina Police Service (RPS) said in a June 15 news release that officers were called to an apartment building in the 2800 block of Dewdney Avenue around 11:35 p.m. on June 13 after someone reported the sleeping man.

Police said when officers woke the man they saw him reach for his waistband, where a firearm was visible. Officers seized the loaded firearm and arrested him.
The 23-year-old has been charged with carrying a concealed weapon, possessing a loaded firearm, four counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a court order, possessing an unauthorized firearm, and careless use of a firearm.
He appeared in Regina Provincial Court on June 15.
Man charged with exposing himself
A 27-year-old man has been charged with committing an indecent act at a downtown bus stop in Regina last week.
RPS said officers were called to the bus stop at the intersection of Victoria Avenue and Broad Street around 6:45 p.m. on June 10 after being told that a man wearing a bathrobe over pants with no shirt underneath was exposing himself to passersby.
Police said the found the suspect at the intersection of 14th Avenue and Broad Street. He tried to run off, police said, but was taken into custody.
The man was also charged with failing to comply with a probation order, and is scheduled to appeared in Regina Provincial Court on July 15.
