A fire in a home said to include four rental units on Central Avenue was put out on Thursday night by Saskatoon firefighters, who had trouble getting into the home because of clutter.
“Crews had a difficult time making entry due to the amount of contents in the home,” a release from the City of Saskatoon explained.
Flames and smoke were seen coming from the home just after 10 p.m. last night, when firefighters arrived.

A neighbour reported seeing at least five Saskatoon Fire Department vehicles at to the scene.
No people were reported to be inside the home at the time of the fire, and the fire department said a search confirmed all occupants were safely evacuated. There were no injuries to civilians or firefighters.

The fire was brought under control and completely put out, according to the city. A fire investigator will now begin the work to identify the cause and origin of the fire, and estimate the damage it caused.
Fire crews also set up large fans to remove any lingering smoke and toxins from the home.
