Residents on the east side of Saskatoon are being urged by the city to avoid using water outside, including watering lawns and using sprinkler systems, while water restrictions are in place.
The restrictions are in effect until June 1, 2026 because of the Acadia Drive primary water main project, according to the City of Saskatoon.

That project began on March 23, 2026.
“Water service remains safe to consume and reliable throughout the work,” the city said in a release.
“Limiting outdoor water use is essential to help keep neighbourhood water pressure as steady as possible during construction.”
The city said Saskatoon Water customers will continue to have “safe, high-quality drinking water” throughout the duration of construction and residents will not need to boil water.
In the event of a boil water advisory, the city said it will notify residents.
Water outages are also not expected. Any resident who experiences such an outage is asked to call the city’s customer care centre.
“This project is needed to deliver long-term water quality and reliability,” the city said in its release, thanking residents for their “patience and cooperation.”
