“A black GMC Terrain SUV was seen picking up Duncan Highway after he left Whitespruce Provincial Training Centre,” the RCMP said in a statement.
Police said Highway, who was described as six-foot-one, weighing 178 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair, is now facing a charge of being unlawfully at large.
“Since receiving the report, Yorkton RCMP have been searching for the prisoner, checking places he is known to frequent and following up on information received,” the RCMP added.
“He has connections to Saskatoon, but his current whereabouts are unknown.”
Anyone who encounters Highway was asked not to approach him, and to report the sighting to police or Crime Stoppers.
