The Regina Pat Canadians finish their round-robin at the top of the pool at the 2026 Telus Cup.
Regina, who are the defending national male U18 AAA hockey champions, beat the Pacific region champion Okanagan Rockets 5-4 on Friday in Peterborough, Ont.

The Pat Canadians were looking to bounce back after their first and only loss of the round-robin play as the Chevaliers de Lévis came back in the third period and eventually beat Regina 6-5 in overtime on Thursday.
Regina got out to an early lead as Brodie Bowen scored just 2:30 into the game. Regina added two more goals in the opening frame as both Liam Pue and Brady Vipond scored on the powerplay.
Will Fuhrman got Okanagan on the board just 34 seconds into the second period.
Xavier Doane restored Regina’s three-goal lead for a stretch, but Brayden Jugnauth did get the Rockets closer later in the period. Pue did score his second of the game before the end of the second.
Regina found itself in trouble of possibly surrendering three goals in the third period for a second straight game.
Okanagan got goals from Von Lakovic and Hayden Laing to get within one goal.
Regina was able to lock things down defensively and held onto the win to finish at the top of the standings. Pat Canadians goaltender Adam Muntain had 29 saves in the win.
The Pat Canadians are back in the tournament after winning the Saskatchewan Male U18 AAA Hockey League title and then the West Regionals.
Regina opened the tournament with a 7-3 win over the host Peterborough Petes. They then went on to beat the Halifax Macs 4-3 and Waterloo Wolves 7-0 before their loss to the Quebec representative.
The Pat Canadians will take on the fourth-seed in the semifinals on Saturday. Regina needed to wait for the results of the later games to determine their game-time and opponent.
